Donating Specimens

The Natural Sciences Museum welcomes donations of specimens to help further scientific research and expand our collections. Whether you have fossils, minerals, skeletons, taxidermy, or other natural history items, your donation plays a vital role in advancing our understanding of the natural world. Each specimen provides researchers with valuable insights into the history of life on Earth, from prehistoric creatures to modern-day biodiversity.

By donating to the museum, you are helping us to preserve and study these specimens for future generations. Your contribution directly supports ongoing research, education, and conservation efforts, enriching our collections and enabling us to share the wonders of the natural world with the public. Every donation is cataloged, studied, and made available to scientists and visitors, furthering discoveries and fostering a deeper understanding of the Earth's history and ecosystems.

If you are interested in donating a specimen, please contact us for more details. Your generosity ensures that the knowledge contained within these items continues to benefit scientific communities, educational programs, and the wider public. Thank you for helping us preserve the past and shape the future of natural science research.

Donation Distribution

If your specimen(s) meet our current collection criteria, they may be integrated into the Scientific Collections and catalogued in accordance with our Collections Policy. Specimens that are deemed to be of non-research and non-display quality will be added to our Learning Collection, where they are used for hands-on learning experiences with students and the general public. Additionally, we welcome donations of suitable fossil or mineral materials for sale in our museum shop, with all proceeds reinvested into supporting the museum's ongoing sustainability and research efforts.
