The first step in the process is to engage with us. Whether you’re an experienced researcher or new to your field, we’ll work with you to understand your specific requirements. Our team is available to provide tailored guidance, ensuring you can effectively integrate cutting-edge techniques and technologies into your research projects.

Once we have a clear understanding of your project needs, we will issue a detailed quote. If necessary, we will also provide a support or commitment statement to align with the specific requirements outlined by your funding body. Open communication is key, and we are happy to discuss any particular funding conditions with you.

For researchers within the museum, the process is streamlined to ensure efficiency. Internal researchers should complete the Facilities Quote Form for final approval. Once approved, the quote can be entered into the internal system for a smooth, quick administrative process. Our team is also available for ongoing support throughout the application process.

External academic or industrial researchers can also benefit from our funding support. After receiving a quote and, if applicable, a support or commitment statement from us, you can include this in your research funding bid. Our team will guide you through the necessary steps to ensure that all required documentation is in place to strengthen your application.

In addition to our logistical support for preparing funding bids, we are passionate about promoting scientific innovation. To facilitate this, we offer annual licenses exclusively to Sheffield-based researchers, granting access to our state-of-the-art equipment at a reduced cost. Thanks to generous subsidies from the Natural Sciences Group, these licenses can be used to generate preliminary data, strengthening your research proposal and enhancing the success of your funding application.
